Okay, so I don't live in the UK, and this ban has no effect on me at all. Even so, I still find the whole thing to be crazy. Literally crazy! Like, what is this guy thinking? Does he know nothing about how things work? Anyone who did any research into the issues of child pornography (and I would think that a major politician trying to set policy regarding it would do the legwork) knows that it doesn't operate on regular networks. It's not like there's 'Google Kiddie Porn'. So all this would accomplish is stopping guys like me from jerking off to a little legal pornography, while at the same time making sites that would have operated legally have to use the same channels as the dark internet. It's like he's saying he wants to stop something, while essentially enabling it more...hmm...perhaps that was the goal all along. It's this kind of bad decision making that makes us have to question the people governing us, and what their motives are.
I don't support anything bad. I think Tor and Freenet are interesting for what they provide, but I'm just as happy with VPN connections and site unblockers like the torch browser which uses hola to get past geographical restrictions. Just the fact that this idea has already been integrated into a completely legal chrome-based browser is enough to reason that the days of blocking content are coming to an end. And though I completely support this when it comes to downloading material, I do see the issue when it comes to illegal activity, and more specifically, the kind that endangers the welfare of others. That said, banning legal porn is so not the way to do it that this policy can be considered an epic fail. If it doesn't go through, then Cameron is done for ever having mentioned it. If it does somehow get through, then he's the guy that spearheaded the cause that strengthened the dark internet. No matter how you look at it the guy is officially done. The question is, how much damage will he cause before he's thrown out on his ass?

Access Everything!
I use different browsers for different things. I'm not a one browser kind of guy. But I'm kinda blown away by the newest feature of the torch browser. It's got a VPN like extension built in that can get around most any restricted site. Go on vacation to Europe and still want to watch the NFL? You can! Studying abroad and don't want to miss episodes of How I Met Your Mother or Family Guy? Don't have to! For a browser that no one seems to know about, these torch guys are offering something that otherwise can only be obtained with a VPN connection (and spending some cash). And it's all free. Best find of the week! Try it out for yourself ( http://www.torchbrowser.com), and experience the joy of traveling all over the world, while staying in the privacy of your own home :)

Thief
I'm a thief, I admit it! I don't wear a black ski mask and lurk in the shadows. I won't break into your house at night and steal your valuables. But I am a huge fan of all things free on the internet. I'm of the mind set that content on the internet is free for everyone, and I make it my goal to pay for as little of it as possible. Not because I'm cheap, but because whatever outdated world that I hardly remember where content was protected, is a thing of the past, and we all know it. I respect and pay homage to those who create the content that I love, and if this weren't the internet age I would gladly go out and lay down money for a disc, or cassette, or eight track. But to me, and clearly most of the developed world, the rules have changed since these times, and the ability to monitor such content is very difficult as is evidenced by all the pirating going on, and the declining revenue of the music industry. I don't think this kind of thing can be fought, so I happily jump on the bandwagon, and offer my knowledge to anyone interested. This video is for my Imesh account. Enjoy!
